Planning trips was always rather difficult for us. It is usually hard to find time - either if we are tied up with work, or pre-booked by different activities, or we don't find anywhere as interesting as sleeping at home. So the trips we had since a few years ago are usually decided rather late. But at least we had some :)

This year there was this discussion among our close friends and us, and we thought we might be able to drop by London for Easter. But it later "moved" over to Barcelona, and then Paris... and ultimately friends realised that they just can't make it. So it went kind of quiet after that. I also got a project meeting potentially around the time before Easter, so it was not a good idea to leave.

But as soon as Tze Ying made her holiday fixed, i got to know that my meeting has been postponed. So i too made my holiday application starting from 1st of April. The next good question is - what should we then do? It is down to both of us, and it is just actually 2 weeks from 1st of April!

We took some time to make quick decisions and decided to stick to the idea of going over to UK. Then came the idea why not let's make a detour to Scotland, since quite a number of my old Unimas friends are now in Edinburgh (and Tze Ying got excited to visit Loch Ness to see Nessie. that's another story actually). So we kind of ready to start to plan a 10 days trip covering basically Scotland and London.

The quest started quickly, since we need to get accomodations and itinerary ready on time, not forgetting our flights. And thank God - we've got them all done within 10 days - with, to our opinions, the best deal we can imagine.

So there was it - 10 days UK Trip:

Kassel - train to Bremen - ryan air to Edinburgh -  2 days in Edinburgh - 3 days' MacBackpackers Tour round Scotland - Night train to London - 5 days' go around in London - BA from London to Frankfurt am Main - Frankfurt back to Kassel.
