Faith and Miracle (3)
There was one weekend that Gloria had no appetite to eat and wanted to sleep all the time. She felt like vommitting and suspected food poisoning as the culprit. The same situation persisted for the next few days. Gloria's husband suggested that she might be pregnant and pestered her to get a pregnancy kit but the idea was almost unacceptable by Gloria because she gave up hope on getting pregnant naturally unless a miracle happens.

Every morning Gloria's husband would touch her tummy and wishes little Isaac good morning and in the evening good night. He is so positive even with only the thought that Gloria might be pregnant. Gloria played along with her husband, telling little Isaac what his dad is doing and what mummy is doing. The whole play along seems so real but Gloria knows that this is perhaps not true after all, it is only a hope and this hope is what they are hanging onto to start a family.

Two weeks passed by and her appettite nor her nauseatic feeling improved. Not being able to handle it anymore Gloria visited the family doctor. The doctor suspected that it was virus infection and gave her anti-nausea preacribtion. As she was lining up in the pharmacy to buy her medication, Gloria thought why not make her husband happy by getting a pregnancy kit as requested.

Early the next morning, Gloria woke up to do the pregnancy test. Her husband was still sleeping in bed as it was a Saturday. I should be a day of rest. Men /Human came a long way since the first effort to identify pregnancy. From no identification, to using rabbits, and then blood test and now simply by urination and checking for HCG level. After urinating on the stick, Gloria looked at the result with unbelieving eyes. She saw a cross indicating that the pregnancy was positive. Quickly, she walked into the room and woke her husband and said, "This cannot be real, it is positive." The husband was overwhelm with joy and started hugging Gloria. Gloria still not able to accept this fact told her husband, "It takes a miracle for me to be pregnant. Please do not have such high hope. We need to do another test. This might be a mistake." Her husband calmly replied, "Well then let me have one day joy knowing that I am now a father!". That afternoon her husband bought another pregnancy kit and as requested by Gloria he bought a different type of pregnancy kit.

The next morning, Gloria tested her urine again. This time the pregnancy kit show two pink lines - again positive for pregnancy. Gloria's reaction on this Sunday morning was different as yesterday. Today she said, "Thank you Lord for performing a miracle on me." She went into the bedroom, woke her husband up and told him "It is true. I am pregnant!". Gloria tried to get an appointment with her gynaecologist on Monday and managed to have one on Wednesday. The 3 days wait between Monday to Wednesday seems to be like ages.

The gynaecologist was equally surprised to find out that Gloria was pregnant and asked if they have started any theraphy. They said no and Gloria said, "This is a miracle." The gynaecologist did a vaginal ultrasound and confirmed that Gloria is pregnant. He saw the yolk sac, amonic bag, and the embryo. He suspected that the embryo is about four weeks old. Everything seems to be in order and they need to come back two weeks later for check up. By that time the embryo should have heart beats. This is a wonderful news, finally after years of waiting, the opportunity to be parents is finally here.

Sweet sweet music rings in their heart as their little Isaac starts to form in Gloria's womb.
