(good old) school years - part I

just because the offices here required for it, i had to ask my family back home to dig out old stuffs from my secondary school time. That includes school leaving certs... which i have no idea where i kept it. But because of that, i need to fill up some forms to get the school to reissue it. And as i look at some questions i need to answer, it kind of brought me back to the good old days.

in secondary school i had perhaps a great time. It was the time that started to shape me into who i am today. I am blessed to have seniors and teachers who were not tired of me being me, and were willing to tell me how to move on. Of course some bad habits were also learnt since then, and i think even my learning style and procastination were also from that period of time :) I was in a way rebelious, like in form 3 to form 5 i refused to join the prefect board, since i do not like them. This was different when i got back to school in form six. There are things i do not because i should, but because i want to experiment and see how the outcome would be. Adventurous you might call, but we do all kinds of funny stuffs back then.

of course, i spent also time and effort in my studies. until form 5 everything was in place. I think it was partly because SRP and SPM were rather easy to score, when you know the right techniques. yeah, that is how i will tell you about our school exams. You only need to know the right techniques and you can be top scorers. Good thing i learn more than just techniques. that helps. This is perhaps a reason why i would like to return and get involved in education fields - we all can do something to improve current situations and systems.

I remember the time that we have own sweet time before certain classes, and before them we might wander somewhere out of school for breakfast. Sneaking back to school for class is an acquired skill :) We knew the teachers as well as they know us, and i think some of us did had some kind of "privillege". We earned it. Teachers knew we are only playful instead of bad or naughty. Of course, we got punished too. But it was worth it since you get nice wantan noodle, nasi lemak and bakuteh in exchange :)
