Happy Chinese New Year

Just came back from "Reunion- Dinner" with friends. Actually I only know two of the four guest (excluding me) but there is always opportunity for strangers to be friend.

Being at home, celebrating Reunion Dinner does not sound anything special at home. It is just something that we do every year this time of the year. However, being a way from home makes you treasure it all the more. I told a friend - "I am not very close to my cousins. We used to be closer but as we grow older and started having our own family, the relationship is no longer as before. Our talks are pretty on the surface but missing this once a year "not so in depth talk" is really a pity."

Matters that seems to be so common and taken for granted suddenly seem to be so special and treasured. Do spend some time with your family during this festive season. Treasure them while you still have the chance.

Time to go to bed and be ready for another working day tomorrow. Too bad, no holiday but on the other hand what would I do if tomorrow is a holiday and yet I have to celebrate the occasion alone??? Hmmm... then working is not a bad idea :D

Have a blessed CHINESE NEW YEAR!
