Nanjing

My first business trip out of Germany. Arrived at Beijing this morning and flew over to Nanjing. Going to be here for the next 4 days before flying back to German.

My first impression of China is apart from having so many chinese around I am "very at home". This is my first time to China. The weather, plants, tolls-highways, food and hospitality reminds me so much of home.

The hotel is beautiful. Really five star standard - I have a kettle, an iron, double bed, big tv, free internet and balcony with a lake and garden view! Ha..ha.. wouldn't mind staying here for a few more days.

Today is mooncake festival. Too bad no one to celebrate it with me. Heart was a little dismay when a chinese colleague said he is not joinning us for dinner tonight because moon cake festival is an important day festival. My family are in Malaysia and hubby in Germany. Anyhow, I would try to buy some moon cake and share it with the chinese bibles study group later.

We are going to have a city tour tomorrow and its down to work work work! Hopefully the presentation works out well. Need to work on my mandarin, it's going to be some big conference on Thursday. So that's all for now.
