Shoulder ache

I had been having shoulder/back ache for the past four days. Did not do anything extraordinary for the past four days. All I did was sat in front of the computer and worked between 9am-6pm. The pain got worse yesterday. I am fine when standing but sitting and lying down would give me some problem. I could not even turn my body on the bed yesterday without feeling the pain.

Therefore I visited the doctor this morning. The doctor told me that it is muscle cramp. I should take some frequent breaks while working and also do some sport !!! Arrrggghhh sport! Had not been doing any since I came back from Malaysia about one and a half months ago. The only sport I did in Malaysia was eating !! ha..ha..ha..

Ok back to my issue... of back ache and yeah forgot to tell you that my right wrist ache too... I think too much of mousing around :P. What would I be doing / have done?

  1. I have installed the software workrave as recommended by my husband . It looks a little bit stupid to do the exercise in front of your computer but what the heck. For the sake of my back and wrist. Another option is to do it in the ladies, at least I would not know those people who stares me. For more screen captures please visit this page .
  2. Get back to swimming. This is the only sport that I can do without injuring other parts f my body... so let's see.. I might be free on monday, tuesday - thursday is full, friday is possible, saturday the pool is too pack and sunday all pools are closed.
  3. Be careful when I use the mouse... if the mouse is lousy don't use it. A friend got carpal tunnel before and it was pretty unpleasant... not sure if using the mouse is the first step to this problem but hopefully not.
  4. SianLun and I are moving end of this month, so have to be careful while renovating or working on the new apartment as not to hurt myself...

Oklah so that's all and what did I get from the doctor? He wrote me a prescription for voltaren gel and tablets... Hopefully this cramp would be over soon.
