Bursting with Joy

My heart is fill with joy, bursting with joy :D Out of no where this special nice warm feeling is here. I guess the Holy Spirit is giving me a bonus :)

There are still things and matters that needs to be accomplished... However, knowing that people around me are turning to the Lord is one wonderful experience. Seeing how God work in the lives of my brothers and sisters and how God proved to be faithful over and over again is amazing.

choices you have to make

have you ever thought why we have so many choices to make in our lives, especially in our daily chores? Most of us hate it when it comes to ordering a meal out of that 20+ different choices plus combinations, hoping that perhaps someone or something should automatically make the best choice for us (ahem, that's what we hope for the future, no?).

How can you hurt someone

There's many ways to hurt someone - you don't have to physically hit that person, in fact sometimes I think emotionally hurting someone is more hurtful than physically hitting someone. Of course this is my personal opinion. I have listed a few ways where we can emotionally hurt someone:

Give more during bad times?

The year started well, but at the same time we all know this year will not be easy. Jobs being cut, working hours reduced and everyone rather just pick up anything than not having a means to earn the money needed to move on. We are thankful that at least many people we know are not directly affected. But we should not just naiively assume things will not change at our end. It is definitely not because God fell asleep and ignored us if the financial crisis suddenly affects us too.

Treasure everyday of your life

This is not something new... but I realised this is all the more important lately. Told hubby that I will not regret not bringing work home... but instead I choose to spend time with him, do some reading and build relationships. If I were to meet the Lord today.. only regret is ... i wanna spend more time with family at home in Malaysia. Would you live your life differently if you were to see the Lord soon?

How do you get your information?

How do you look for the information you need? Well, I learnt from young that if you do not understand or do not know then ask. There is even a Malay proverbs that says "malu bertanya sesat jalan" meaning if you are shy to ask then you will lose your way. I do remember through my studies, I will check out do some self study or so ... and if I still do not understand I will ask my friends, tutors or lecturers. During my working years, if I think one of my colleague knows better in that area, I will simply ask him or her.

Tips for graduate students

I learnt this about a year ago and realised how important this is - If you want to work on something, make sure you read the papers published by your professors and colleagues. I just realised that actually what ever I am doing right now cannot be completely based on my own idea. Well, perhaps I am a little naive. In the very beginning when my professor asked me to think of a topic, I thought I have to come up with something new and different.

Wonderful to be able to start a new

I have a thought to put my "Graduation Speech" articles in a book. Perhaps that can give some insight between Oriental and German culture :)

Do you believe in Alien?

Do you believe in Alien? Well, I am not surprise if they exist. I mean there's so many things that we do not know and do not comprehend. However, what surprises me more is there are people who believes that Alien exist but denies the existence of God.

Comfort Concert

Time heals, or should I say God heals :) About one year ago, Sian Lun and I attended the Trosztkonzert (Comfort Concert) by Njeri and there we let God handle our burdens. Burdens that we cannot bear. Yesterday, we attended the same concert. This time not as audience but as participant with the choir and wonderfully I really do think and can feel it in my heart that the burden and sorrow that was there one year ago is no longer there.
